🦋 Join Us on This Journey!

Biology and Butterflies invites families, schools, and communities to explore the living world through hands-on experiences with butterflies and pollinators. By observing these remarkable creatures and the ecosystems they support, children begin to understand the biodiversity that exists all around them.

  • We offer one complimentary assembly-style session for children ages 3 and up to introduce them to butterflies and garden pollinators. These visits are designed to give students a chance to observe real plants and insects up close, support topics like pollination, metamorphosis, and anatomy, and encourage curiosity and respect for living things.

    • If interested, schools can partner with us for a four day summer program (June through August) with sessions running for 30-45 minutes each session

    • Visit one of our free Pollinator Pop-Ups to see what we’re all about.

    • Join a park-based community program and explore nature together.

    • Host your own program in your backyard with your family and friends.

    • Book us for your child’s birthday party for a unique, nature-filled celebration.

Our experiences are designed to help children slow down, observe, ask questions, and build a real connection with nature.

If you are not sure which option is the best fit, we are happy to explore options with you.

  • We love supporting Girl Scout troops who are working toward badges related to nature, gardening, science, conservation, and environmental stewardship.

Biology and Butterflies experiences can support badge work through:

    • Observing real butterfly eggs, caterpillars, chrysalises, and host plants

    • Learning about pollinators, life cycles, and ecosystems

    • Discussing how native plants support local wildlife

    • Hands-on observation and discussion instead of screens or worksheets

These visits are part of our 1- day community outreach.

    There is no required fee.

If you’re interested, please use the button below to reach out and share your troop details.

  • Conservation begins at home. It can be as simple as a single porch pot or as meaningful as a dedicated garden space.

By planting native flowers and supporting pollinators, you help create spaces where wildlife thrives and curiosity grows at every age.

We also love celebrating community gardens. If you have a pollinator-friendly space, we would love to feature your garden on our blog and share your story on our social media.

Your garden can inspire others. And it often starts with just one plant.
